Volumising Fillers

The aging process generally causes a loss of volume as the underlying collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin fibres begin to deteriorate and fat stores and even bones in the face decrease. Soft tissue fillers have the unique ability to fill and contour these changes.

What are volumising fillers most commonly used for?

    • Enhancing and lifting flattened, sunken cheeks
    • Restoring lost volume to skeletal looking temples
    • Lifting eyebrows up to their youthful position
    • Restoring volume to sagging jowls to create a straighter jaw line
    • Lifting sagging corners of the mouth
    • Creating a more prominent defined chin
    • Enhancing and creating high cheek bones

Am I a good candidate for volumisation treatment?

Volumisation is the treatment of choice for those who look tired, sunken, gaunt or hollowed as in the following examples - bags and/or hollows under the eyes, flat sunken cheeks, deep smile lines, downward turning mouth, sunken temples, early jowls.
Volumisation is also popular for those who want to augment, enhance or reshape their natural cheekbones.

What do volumisation treatments involve?

    • Treatment usually involves just a single injection into each area of concern.
    • More than one treatment may be required to achieve the best results. The first treatment may lay the foundation for subsequent improvement or adjustment.
    • Various volumisers are available to help restore a more youthful appearance but there are differences in the way each behaves and how long each will last. An important element to achieving successful results with volumising fillers is realizing that no one filler is ideal for all areas of the face. Because of this, Dr Feldman will discuss with you which volumiser works best in the area you want filled. In some cases, different fillers will be recommended for different areas of the face to improve the entire facial aesthetic, in a procedure known as a liquid facelift.
